Operator

Operator is a tool provided by the Forge that allows you to manage and monitor projects you host on the intranet.

Activity content​

Using Operator, you can check the content of an activity in-depth. This allows you to debug your activity.yml by checking how the intranet ingested it.

Trace explorer​

Operator contains a Trace Explorer tool that lets you check the traces (i.e. the traces) of students.

Using Operator's Traces Explorer, you can:

  • Retry jobs (i.e. recompute student traces)
  • Get detailed logs from MaaS, the jobs runtime environment
  • Check the traces of an individual student.

Viewing traces in Operator is intended for checking individual student's traces. If you wish to check the overall validation status of your students, you should instead use the Forge-provided Grafana dashboard.

Operator provides an API that you can use to perform tasks programmatically.
